HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Congresswoman Colleen Hanabusa is gearing up for her re-election campaign.

Saturday she opened her new headquarters in Kalihi.

It's a change of venue for her. Two years ago her campaign center was in Kaka'ako.

Hanabusa says this year she wanted to have a central meeting place for her election team.

"This time around what we realize is that we have the volunteers. We have the core volunteers so we are looking for places that are easy for them and not only that, we want the communities to know that it's not only by Ala Moana, it's the whole area", said Congresswoman Hanabusa.

Hanabusa is running to keep the seat she won back in 2010.

Former congressman Charles Djou, who just came back from Afghanistan has also entered the race.
