4.4 magnitude quake strikes Big Island, no tsunami generated

BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says a 4.4 magnitude earthquake was reported in the summit region of Kilauea Volcano.

The earthquake struck at about 3:53 a.m. Friday.

According to the PTWC, no tsunami is expected. However, some areas may have experienced shaking.
