Recipe sends Hawaii woman to New York City

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Have you ever invented your own recipe that turned out to be a big hit? That's exactly what a woman on the Big Island did!

"Junko" from Pahoa entered a national contest hosted by Smuckers, and ended up in the top five.

Her original recipe is now on the Smucker's web site and she gets to go to New York City for a chance to win the grand prize.

$20,000 for a dream vacation with her family!

Junko's special creation is Creamy Wontons with Guava Jalapeno dipping sauce.
