BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - Big Island police are searching for a 16-year-old girl reported as missing from Puna since February 15. 

Munirah Mokihana Dewan-Fabian is described as, 5-foot-5, about 110 pounds with long black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing frayed blue jeans with a black T-shirt and carrying a black backpack.

Police ask that anyone with information on her whereabouts call the Police Department's non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
