HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory for East facing shores of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui and the Big Island.
The high surf advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Thursday.
Strong trade winds will bring rough surf to exposed east facing shores through Thursday morning.
Surf will be in the 6 to 8 foot range and conditions will be rough and choppy 6 to 8.
A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in the advisory area producing rip currents and localized beach erosion.
