KANEOHE (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu firefighters responded to an early morning rescue in Kaneohe Bay.
Rescue crews launched their helicopter at about 12:45 a.m. Monday after a call for help from boaters off shore.
According to officials, two men were having engine trouble earlier in the night and had planned to stay with the boat.
However, the rough seas reportedly cause too much tossing and turning, so the men called for help.
The HFD's helicopter was sent out and brought the boaters back safely to Heeia Kea Pier,
Fire officials tell us the 19-foot boat is securely anchored off shore in shallow water.
No injures were reported.
