PBS Hawaii: Keola Beamer

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - PBS Hawaii premieres a new show starring Keola Beamer this month. It is called Keola Beamer: Malama Ko Aloha (Keep Your Love). Beamer joined us in the Sunrise studio to talk how the show uses stories, music and dance to evoke a Beamer family philosophy that has been passed down through the generations.

Among those joining composer and slack key guitar master Keola Beamer on the show will be his wife, Moanalani, Native American flute player R. Carlos Nakai, jazz pianist Geoffrey Keezer, singer Raiatea Helm and a group of musicians playing multicultural instruments.

The premiere airs February 23 at 9:00pm. Check out the video of today's interview.
