HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Gas prices rose throughout most areas over the last week, according to the AAA Hawaii Weekend Gas Watch.
Today, the statewide average for regular unleaded is $4.21 a gallon, two cents more than a week ago.
Honolulu's average price rose four cents over the past week to $4.09 a gallon. That price is 18 cents more than a month ago and 46 cents higher than this time last year.
In Hilo, the average gas price is $4.41 a gallon, six cents more than last week, 18 cents more than last month and 64 cents higher than this time last year.
Wailuku's average is $4.41 a gallon, unchanged from last week, five cents more than last month and 38 cents higher than on this date last year.
Hawaii continues to have the highest gas prices in the U.S., followed by California at $3.90 and Alaska with a $3.85 state average.
