HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - An Air Canada flight departing from the Honolulu International Airport was forced to make an emergency landing late Monday night.
An airline official tells Hawaii News Now that Flight 48 was traveling from Honolulu to Vancouver, British Columbia when the pilot saw an indicator above a valve.
The pilot reportedly returned to Honolulu after being up in the air for about two hours.
An official says the Boeing 767 jet had 158 passengers on board and the decision to make an emergency landing was a "routine procedure" because the plane was loaded with fuel for the flight.
Maintenance crews were able to fix the problem and the plan took off at about 1 a.m. Tuesday following the four-hour delay.
