LAIE (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu Fire Department crews responded to a house fire in Laie Tuesday morning.
The incident happened at around 7:20 a.m. at 55-649 Kamehameha Highway.
According to fire officials, the flames were under control at 7:35 a.m.
The fire was confined to a bedroom on the second floor of the home.
The woman inside the home says she heard glass breaking when she was getting out of the shower. She then saw the flames, grabbed her son and got out of the house.
Officials say a man who was walking outside stopped to help. He reportedly grabbed a garden hose to help put out the flames before fire crews arrived to the scene.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire and amount in damages is unknown at this time.
