Special fund set up to help family of fallen officer

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A special memorial fund has been set up Honolulu Police Officer Garret Davis who was killed on Saturday night after his patrol car was hit from behind on the H-1 freeway.

The Hawaii Law Enforcement Federal Credit Union is accepting monetary donations on behalf of Davis' family.

Donations are being accepted at all of branches and may be made by cash or check.  Please make checks out to the Hawaii Law Enforcement Federal Credit Union and include "Davis" on the memo line.

The credit union asks that when making donations, to inform the member services representatives that the donation is for the Garret Davis Fund.

  • Main Branch:

For those on the neighbor islands that wish to make donations, the credit union is  working on getting collection points set up.  Alternatively, you may mail check donations to their main office at 1537 Young Street 3rd Floor, Honolulu, HI 96826.
