HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - State workers closed two westbound lanes of the H-1 freeway Monday to remove a large sticker that was covering the corner of an exit sign.
When scanned the QR barcode directs smartphones to the Udown website. The local clothing says they did not know about the sticker and it doesn't support vandalism on public or private property.
Department of Transportation workers used cherry pickers to remove the sticker.
"It was a waste of resources, a lot of people were put at risk, from the workers, motorists, even the people (persons) that put the sticker up," said DOT spokesman Dan Meisenzahl.
