With a threat of a strike by Hawaii public school teachers looming, Governor Abercrombie schedules a news conference this afternoon. A day after 6 Hawaii-based marines lost their lives in a chopper crash in Afghanistan, the military is announcing a possible cause and says there is no indication the CH-53D helicopter was hit by enemy fire.

Yet another violent robbery is caught on surveillance video. This time 3 men are seen stealing liquor from a convenience store in Waikiki and the clerk finds herself in danger.
