HONOLULU (Hawaii News Now) - Norm Chow and the Warriors have added another commit. John Ursua, quarterback for Cedar High in Cedar City, Utah, will be hoping to "step in right away and get the job" at Manoa.
Ursua, who spoke with Tom Zulewski of thespectrum.com, said that he was thrilled to be playing for Head Coach Norm Chow. Ursua told Zulewski "With the fact that Norm Chow's over there, the community loves that guy. With the whole new staff he's bringing in, I'm excited to see what he'll do with the offense and how I can fit in."
Ursua shouldn't have many, if any problems finding a position to play. He ran a spread option at Westlake High, then a traditional triple option at Cedar, where he ran—and passed--for over 1,000 yards this past season. In addition to his running and throwing skills, Ursua returned punts at Cedar, and played defensive back.
