HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - We're getting reports of a power outage on Kauai.
Justin Fujinaka, a DJ for FM97 in Puhi, says his radio station has no power and is currently off the air. Listeners are reporting debris and tree branches on the roads and low visibility.
There are also reports of an accident in Kapaa and hail reportedly fell in Waimea, near Ishihara Market.
Southerly Kona winds will persist through Thursday before trades return Friday. Skies will be hazy and cloudy with elevated humidity levels. Scattered showers are forecast, especially for the south sides of Kauai and Oahu. Heavy rainfall is possible which could lead to flooding.
A moderate northwest swell will hold at moderately high levels Tuesday just below high surf advisory levels. A small craft advisory is posted overnight for the waters around Kauai.
