HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaiian Electric Company crews are working to replace a hanging power line at the corner of Rycroft and Keeaumoku Streets.
According to officials, wires were reported hanging at about 6:45 a.m. fronting the HMSA main offices.
Honolulu police shut down both of the makai bound lanes while they investigated. The road was later reopened.
HECO says the downed service line has affected one customer.
HECO troubleshooters have secured the area and have de-energized the line.
The sidewalk remains open for pedestrians in the area.
