MANOA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Board of Water Supply crews are trying to repair an eight-inch water main on Lowrey Avenue near Kahawai Street.
The incident was reported just after 4:45 a.m. Thursday.
According to the BWS, 55 customers are without water service at this time. Crews have positioned two water wagons at the break site.
Police have shut down Lowrey Avenue between Keoni Street and East Manoa Road.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternate traffic routes if possible.
Traffic conditions will remain in effect for the duration of the repair, which is expected to last in the afternoon.
