Today's Forecast: Our quiet winter weather is finally starting to get a bit more active, with a cold front forecasted to sweep through the islands late today. Clouds, showers and haze will increase as the day goes along, with the front reaching Kauai by midday, Oahu by late afternoon, Maui County in the evening and the Big Island of Hawaii overnight. Happening Today: On Kauai, Waimea Valley residents still have time to fill up on water --- before it is shut off for most of today. Crews plan to shut off water supply --- to replace an aging fire hydrant. It'll last for much of the day -- beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at 4 p.m.
