HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaiian Electric customers will get some relief when they open their January bill.
According to HECO, rates dipped 2.5 cents per kilowatt hour compared to the record high in December.
The average customer's bill will be about $15 lower.
HECO warns that the rates could go back up in the coming months due to a soaring demand for oil.
