LANIKAI (HawaiiNewsNow) -The Board of Water Supply says water service has been restored to 30 customers affected by the eight-inch main break on Mokulua Drive.
The incident was reported at about 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Approximately 10 customers are still without water service. A water wagon has been positioned near the break site to provide water for affected customers.
The BWS says a PVC pipe, which was installed in 2009, broke. The company is investigating to find out why the pipe failed this soon.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution and avoid the area, if possible.
All lanes on Aalapapa Drive and Mokulua Drive are open at this time.
BWS crews are expected to be off the road by 3 p.m.
