HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The new show "It's Academic Hawaii" premieres on K5 The Home Team at 7:00pm tonight. Each week for 13 weeks, 3 different schools will field a team of 3 students to compete in a tournament game, with winning teams advancing to the next rounds of play. 27 public, private and charter schools -- from Kaua'i, O'ahu, Maui, and Hawai'i Island -- are participating in the tournament. K5 General Manager John Fink and Kaimuki High School advisor Lori Chun joined us in the Sunrise studio to talk about the competition. Check out the video.
