Two arrested, two remain at-large after Kauai robbery

KOLOA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Kauai police arrested two men Wednesday in connection with a robbery at the Koloa gas station.

Police say Clarence Kane, 21, of Koloa and Kalai Vicente, 18, of Kapaa, were arrested this morning for first degree robbery. They are being held on $100,000 bail. Police are still looking for two male suspects who remain at-large.

It happened at the Koloa Chevron gas station at about 2:20 a.m. when the four men, disguised with facial paint, entered the convenience store and demanded cash from an employee.

According to police, the male employee was held at knifepoint and physically assaulted. He suffered injuries to his face and body.

The suspects took off with an undisclosed amount of cash, liquor and cigarettes before fleeing the scene on foot.

Police are asking for information on the two remaining male suspects. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call Det. Ledesma at 241-1687, or CrimeStoppers, 241-1887.

The case remains under investigation.
