HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A High Surf Advisory is in effect for east-facing shores across the state.
According to the National Weather Service, strong tradewinds will continue to produce elevated and choppy surf along east-facing reefs and beaches through Monday night.
Surf is expected to be between six and eight feet.
The NWS says inexperienced surfers and swimmers should remain out of the water.
The High Surf Advisory will remain in effect until Tuesday 6 a.m.
