WAIANAE (HawaiiNewsNow) - The American Red Cross is assisting 15 people after their home partially collapsed on its foundation early Sunday morning.
Authorities said no one was seriously injured after the 1:30 a.m. incident on Puhawai Road. Honolulu fire officials said termite damage may have contributed to the collapse of the home, which was built on three-foot high poles and collapsed to one side.
According to the Red Cross said high winds may also have been a factor.
The Red Cross said it will be providing shelter for 15 people. Thirteen of them were in the home at the time of the collapse, fire officials said.
