HONOLULU(HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu firefighters rescued a man in his 50's who was found unresponsive this morning at the bottom of a canal in Palolo.
Honolulu Fire Department's spokesperson Captain Seelig believes that the man may have fallen. Emergency Medical Services went down into the canal about 15 ft. below street level to rescue the man.
A friend who discovered the man said the two were drinking Tuesday night near the canal and when he woke up he found his friend covered in blood and immediately dialed 911.
Fire officials say the man suffered trauma to his head and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
