No Tsunami after 6.5 Quake in Mexico

GUERRERO, Mexico (HawaiiNewsNow) - A powerful 6.5 magnitude earthquake has rocked Mexico.

According to the U.S.G.S the quake hit 103 miles south-southwest of Mexico City.

It was at a depth of 40 miles.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake struck at 3:47 p.m. Hawaii time and did not generate a tsunami.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says that a destructive Pacific-wide Tsunami is not expected and there is no Tsunami threat to Hawaii.
