Water main Break, Cazimero Christmas, Think You Can River Dance?

We start this Aloha Friday with a Traffic Alert: the right lane of Farrington Highway in the eastbound direction is closed this morning due to a water main break near the Kahe Power Plant. It's a double whammy for drivers. This line provides more than half of the water to Leeward Oahu.

Another water main break on Maui has shut down South Kihei Road at Kauhaa Street. Drivers are urged to take Piilani Highway instead. Taizo will have traffic updates every 10 minutes on Sunrise.

Big surf came right on cue to run the third jewel of the Triple Crown of surfing. There's a high surf advisory for north and west facing shores of Oahu, Kauai and Niihau, the north facing shores of Maui and Molokai and west facing

shores of the Big Island. Dan says the 20 foot waves will hang around through tomorrow. He'll have our weekend weather outlook, including the forecast for the Honolulu Marathon.

President Obama confirms his annual trip home to Hawaii is on hold until an extension on payroll tax cuts is passed by congress. In his exact words, "The bottom line is that we are going to stay here as long as it takes to make sure that the American peoples' taxes don't go up on January First."

Tonight the Chaminade Men's basketball team plays its first game since Assistant Coach Mike Mathey resigned. As Hawaii News Now first reported on Wednesday, Mathey accidentally sent a text message intended for a friend to a player that reportedly contained a racial slur.

Go Kapolei Titans! They're playing for the Pop Warner national championship this afternoon at Disneyworld.

Also ahead, Dan catches up with the Brothers Caz to talk about their popular holiday concert "A Cazimero Christmas." See which viral video was so hilarious, we had to bring it back for our Friday feature "the Good, the Bad, and the What Were They Thinking?" Plus, the cast of the River Dance see if I have what it takes.

It all starts at 4:30 on Sunrise. Hope you can join us!

Aloha,

Tannya
