Breaking News.. Honolulu police have booked a 25 year old Salt Lake man for attempted murder following a fire at a home on Ukali Street early this morning. Andrew Patton was arrested after the fire broke out at the property in the Foster Village area after midnight. Fire investigators are looking at whether the fire was intentionally set.

The winds are backing off, but the surf is still churning. The high surf advisory remains in effect for East-facing shores until 6 p.m. Dan says gusts should pick up again Thursday and Friday along with a chance of more windward showers from Wednesday night into Saturday.

More people filed new jobless claims the week before Thanksgiving than we've seen in months. Howard will break down the new unemployment numbers.

Michael Jackson's doctor will face the singer's family and fans one more time when he returns to court for sentencing. Today's hearing will be the first time Dr. Conrad Murray has been in court since he was convicted of involuntary manslaughter on November 7th. It's unclear if any Jackson family members will attend sentencing. Prosecutors are seeking a four-year term. We expect live coverage of the sentencing to begin at around 630 a.m. on Sunrise.

New this morning, a psychiatric evaluation says the confessed mass killer of 77 people in a Norway attack was insane at the time. If that assessment is upheld by the court, then Anders Breivik could not be sentenced to prison. He would, instead, be placed in psychiatric care.
