Gusty Winds, High Surf, Flight Delay

Advisory for drivers: a fallen tree has shut down the right lane of the Likelike Highway Kaneohe Bound in Kalihi. The closure is a half mile before the tunnel. Taizo will have traffic updates every 10 minutes on Sunrise.

Gusty trade winds have also triggered a red flag warning for potential fires in Leeward areas. Gusts up to 35 miles per hour and low humidity could lead to critical fire weather conditions. Dan is tracking the severe weather threat.

The windy weather is making for rough seas. There's a high surf advisory through 6 this morning and a small craft advisory through tomorrow.

Passengers of a Hawaiian Airlines flight waiting to take off from Portland to Honolulu for half a day because of a mechanical issue finally made it in the air in this morning. We sent our crew to the airport to get their reaction to the disruptive delay.

A Russian news reporter who was in Hawaii covering APEC has been fired because she was caught on camera flipping off someone. Did she give the finger to President Obama? We'll show you the video and let you decide for yourself.

Also this morning on Sunrise, Henry Kapono and the U.S. Marine Corps Pacific perform live from Studio B, we chat via satellite with Michael Buble about his upcoming NBC Christmas Special, and it's Cyber Monday. See what online retailers are doing to attract holiday shoppers.

Hope to see you on Sunrise!

Aloha,

Tannya
