SCHOFIELD BARRACKS (HawaiiNewsNow) - A soldier is dead following a two-vehicle accident early Saturday morning on Schofield Barracks.
An EMS spokesperson said two ambulances were dispatched to the scene just after 12:30 a.m. Paramedics transported three patients, two males and one female, all 19 years old. A fourth soldier was treated by the Federal Fire Department and pronounced dead at the scene.
At least one of the vehicles rolled down an embankment and into a fence. Several of those inside the vehicle were ejected. It is unknown if the vehicles involved were civilian or military.
The soldier who died was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division based at Schofield Barracks. The name of the victim is not being released. A military spokesperson says an investigation is ongoing.
