Rainbow Warriors Back to .500

MANOA (HawaiiNewsNow) – The Rainbow Warrior basketball team held on to beat Pacific 75-70, Friday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The Bows Zane Johnson led the way with 21 pts (4-17 FG, 10-11 FTs) while Joston Thomas added 14 pts, Shaquille Stokes chipped in 6 pts and 10 asts and Trevor Wiseman had his 2nd double double of the year with 10 pts and 10 rebounds.

Pacific rallied late in the 2nd half and tied things up at 70 with 11 seconds remaining.

With no timeouts remaining, Stokes dribbled up the court and offered up a 3pt attempt, luckily, Garret Jefferson was underneath to clean the glass with a layup.

Jefferson was fouled but completed the and-one, Johnson added a pair of free throws to complete the three point UH win.

Hawaii improves to 2-2 and play at Pepperdine on December 3rd.
