Aloha ... Here's what we're working on for Hawaii News Now at 5 and 5:30:
-- The NCAA responds to "point shaving" claims outlined in an anonymous letter sent to UH officials earlier this month. Tonight, Sports Director Chris Tanaka talks with Coach Mac and some Hawaii players to see how they feel about the situation.
-- HPU student, Mariah Danforth-Moore, was remembered today by friends, faculty, and fellow students. Her father also addressed those who attended the ceremony. Jim Mendoza is working on that story.
-- Guy Hagi tells us how our Thanksgiving holiday weekend will shape up, weather-wise. He'll also update us on "Kenneth" in the East Pacific ... And has some good news for surfers.
-- Unbelievable video of a helicopter pilot who's lucky to be alive tonight following a chopper crash in New Zealand. And it was all caught on tape. We'll show that to you tonight at 5.
-- Also, President Obama sides with the turkeys in Washington as part in a time-honored Thanksgiving tradition.
These are just some of the stories tonight when you join Stephanie Lum and me for Hawaii News Now at 5 & 5:30.
