HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu police have arrested a man in connection with the hit-and-run death of an HPU student Sunday.  

Dominic Franklyn, 29, turned himself in at HPD's main police station Tuesday afternoon. Franklyn who lives in Kapolei was booked on suspicion of negligent homicide & failure to render aid.

Franklyn's white BMW that had damage to its right side was towed to HPD's main police station.

Police say Mariah Danforth-Moore was in the crosswalk on the HPU side of Kamehameha highway when she was struck by a white sports sedan that kept going.
