Traffic Alert, Hurricane Tracking, Egypt Unrest

Traffic alert this morning-- two water main breaks. Board of Water Supply crews are working to repair a 16-inch water main break on Meheula Parkway near the Kuahelani Avenue intersection in Mililani. Three SOUTHBOUND lanes on Meheula Parkway and both WESTBOUND lanes on Kuahelani Avenue are closed. Residents are advised to use the Ka Uka or Mililani Tech Park off ramps on the H2 to avoid closures on Meheula Parkway. Repair work is expected to continue into morning rush hour. We're also following water main repairs in East Oahu. Crews are working to patch up a break on Kuliouou Road between Wakine Place and Keoki Place. Ramsay Wharton will have the latest on both breaks and we'll help you avoid the mess starting on Sunrise at 4:30.

We're following developments in Egypt today, where protests are erupting again as demonstrators clash with police. At least three American protestors have been arrested by Egyptian authorities.

Congress isn't off the hook. Lawmakers from both parties are in agreement that congressional action is still needed somehow -- and soon -- to bring down deficits. A failure by a special bipartisan panel to agree on $1.2 trillion in deficit cuts over a decade is supposed to trigger $1 trillion in automatic spending cuts in 2013. President Barack Obama says he isn't going to let Congress back out of those cuts. This morning on Sunrise Howard breaks down the the impact.
