KO OLINA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Thousands of meals were served Saturday on Oahu, all in the spirit of Thanksgiving. Ko Olina Resort teamed up with 18 west Oahu churches to dish up 4,000 meals to the hungry at the 13th annual Thanksgiving Outreach event. Volunteers picked up their plates at the resort, and delivered them to churches from Pearl City to Waianae. Volunteers say it's all about giving back. "You feel good about it because not everybody gets to share, gets to have a Thanksgiving meal like us. So it's always good to give back to the people that are not able to afford it", said a volunteer. Organizers say the annual event is the largest holiday outreach effort on Oahu.
