Tonight on KGMB & KHNL

Candles are lighting up the campus at Hawaii Pacific University tonight, as friends remember Mariah Danforth-Moore.  The sophomore was killed last night by a hit-and-run driver.  Tonight, our Jim Mendoza reports on the push for new safety measures at the busy crossing where she was hit.

Also tonight, Teri Okita brings us a special report on Hawaii's growing elderly population.  And it comes with a 'red flag' alert from the AARP.

Plus, Hawaiian Telcom takes a hard line with its contract offer.  Final means final for hundreds of unionized workers.

All that and lots of big-name college basketball teams at this year's Maui Invitational, but we're rooting for our favorite underdogs, Chaminade!  How close could they get to UCLA?  Highlights at 10.

See you soon,
