HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The City Department of Emergency Management and Hawaii State Civil Defense announced on Thursday that they will conduct two separate outdoor warning siren tests on Friday.

The sirens at Ewa Beach Shopping Center will be tested between 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., while those in Ahuimanu will sound off between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

City officials are checking the sirens to ensure that they are operating at full power and providing the optimal audible range.

Residents and local businesses should not be alarmed at the siren tones during the test.
