Aloha APEC!, Road Closures, Increasing Showers

Aloha, APEC! President Barack Obama leaves Hawaii for Australia this morning. He'll meet with the Prime Minister and then address the Australian Parliament. We expect him to take off around 8:30 a.m. Ramsay Wharton will cover his departure live on Sunrise.

You'll want to hit the road before the President does this morning. Watch out for motorcade road closures while the President is on the move from the Ihilani Resort to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. We'll be the first to let you know when traffic closures go into effect on air and online.

One more day of beautiful weather with light variable winds and a few light showers. Starting tomorrow, Dan says we'll see increasing showers, more clouds and slightly stronger tradewinds, especially for windward areas. The damp conditions are forecast to linger into the weekend.

Happening today, the memoirs of Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords hits bookshelves. It's titled "Gabby: A Story of Courage and Hope" and was written by her husband, former Space Shuttle Commander Mark Kelly. The book chronicles her shooting and will to get back to Congress.

Is it really that time of the year already? Toys R Us is joining the growing list of stores to promote deals before Black Friday. The retailer announced it will open its doors at 9 p.m. Thanksgiving night. That's an hour earlier than last year. The store also released its Black Friday circular with holiday deals. Walmart has already announced it will open at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving day.
