WAIKIKI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Neither rain, nor sleet nor snow can stop mail deliveries, but the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Conference can.
Mail delivery, pick up and access to P.O. boxes will be impacted this weekend in Waikiki due to road closures.
The Waikiki Post Office is closed from 6 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Sunday.
The public will not be able to access their P.O. boxes at all on Saturday.
However, to make up for Saturday's closure, the post office is making special arrangements to deliver mail to P.O. boxes on Friday, which is Veteran's Day.
Mail usually isn't delivered on federal holidays.
Customers can only get mail from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
According to officials, there will be no mail pick up from blue USPS collection boxes or mail drops at the Waikiki Post Office, from the Hilton Hawaiian Village's front desk and Contract Postal Unit, or from the collection box at 1741 Ala Moana Boulevard, between each location's last collection time on Thursday, Nov. 10 and 7 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 14.
