HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu Fire Department crews discovered the body of an adult male early Friday morning at the Koko Head Crater Botanical Gardens.
The 25-year-old male was found just after 7 a.m. when Air 1 spotted his body a quarter-mile into the trail during an aerial search.
The search for the man began 6 p.m. Thursday when a security guard discovered an abandoned vehicle in the parking lot for more than 24 hours. The search was suspended two hours later, but resumed at around 6:15 a.m. Friday.
At this point, Honolulu police and the Criminal Investigation Division have classified the case as an unattended death.
