HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Flash Flood Warning for Maui until 7:15am. Flash Flood Watch for the entire state throughout the day.
Radar at 4:00am is showing heavy rain near Kipahulu, that's about 26 miles southeast of Kahului. The area of heavy rain is moving west at about 15 mph.
Other locations in the warning include but are not limited to Hamoa, Nahiku, Keanae and Hana.
A Flash Flood Warning means flash flooding is imminent or already occurring in streams, roads and low-lying areas. Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle or on foot. Turn around, don't drown.
The wet and very unstable weather is expected to continue through the weekend.
