HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Filipino Business Women Association's 28th Annual Kimona Ball honors female Filipino executives in various business industries. It takes place Friday, November 4 at 6 p.m. at Ala Moana Hotel. Tickets cost $55 per person.
The KIMONA is a short blouse made of sheer material, but has evolved into a work of art as designers transform a camisole-like garment into an elegant attire. Equivalent to a mascarade ball, those who attend mask their Kimona with sequence and bling as contestants rally for the top prize. Each year, a Miss Kimona is crowned, following a colorful pageantry parade.
FBWA also awards thousands of dollars in scholarships rewarding student whether or not they aspire to be in business.
