Iconic Neil Diamond announces Hawaii concert

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Another Rock and Roll legend is coming to Hawaii. Singer-songwriter Neil Diamond says he will return to the islands, his first Hawaii concert in nearly 35 years.

Diamond will play at the Blaisdell Arena February 16. He last played in Hawaii in November 1976.

Tickets go on sale Saturday, November 5, at the Blaisdell Arena box office at 9 a.m. and at Ticketmaster locations. Tickets are priced at $159, $99 and $59. First-day sales are limited to eight per order.

Diamond has sold more than 128 million records worldwide, achieving 37 top 10 singles and 18 platinum albums. Diamond has been a force on Billboard charts for over 40 years, scoring a combined 12 No. 1's on the Billboard 200, Hot 100 and AC Charts.

On Monday, March 14, 2011, Neil Diamond was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Diamond has been named an honoree at the 2011 Kennedy Center Honors.

Some of Diamond's best known hits include "Sweet Caroline," America," "Love on the Rocks" and "Cherry Cherry."

Another Rock legend, Elton John will play the Blaisdell Arena on Friday, January 6th and Saturday January 7th.
