HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A new route will add seats from Hawaii to the Bay Area.
Alaska Airlines announced new nonstop service from Honolulu to Oakland and San Jose.
The new daily routes will begin next April and are just the latest in a series of new Hawaii routes introduced by the carrier this year.
Alaska released a $149 one-way introductory fare for tickets purchased before Friday.
The company has even launched a campaign in the Bay Area titled "Nuts for Honolulu."
In all, Alaska will operate a total of nine daily flights to Hawaii from Oakland, San Jose and Sacramento.
During the peak winter travel season, it offers 24 flights per day to Hawaii from Anchorage and seven west coast cities including Bellingham, Seattle, Portland and San Diego.
