AIEA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Police have closed the case against long time Aiea High School football coach, Wendall Say, who was arrested for allegedly assaulting a man at a nearby Aiea 7-Eleven on October 9th.
Say and members of his staff were accused of getting into a fight with several skateboarders that supposedly started on campus. Stemming from the confrontation it then resulted into the assault at 6:15 PM at the 7-Eleven.
Case was closed after the person who filed the complaint admitted he identified the wrong person. The other two men that were arrested in connection of the incident were former Aiea High School football players. Say made a statement on Thursday, saying that he turned himself in to show his cooperation with authorities. Say claims he was at Sam's Club with his family at the time of the incident.
