Coming Up on Hawaii News Now Wednesday

Here's what were working on for Hawaii News Now at 5 and 5:30.

There are new developments in the on-going custody battle over Duane "Dog" Chapman's 9-year old grandson. Tonight, hear the new audio tape of the boy -- and what the boy says he wants to have happen.

The U.H. Board of Regents, today, voted on a proposal to raise tuition at all U.H. campuses. It would be instituted over the next 5 years and raise the annual tuition at UH-Manoa by 35%. Teri Okita will have more on this. And speaking of college costs, we'll tell you how President Obama wants to help those with student loan debt.

A Honolulu Police Officer, convicted of sexually assaulting a prostitute in Waikiki, was a no-show today at his sentencing hearing. Now what? Minna Sugimoto was in court today and will have the latest.

And when will the trades be back? Maybe sooner than you think. Guy Hagi explains.

I hope you'll join Stephanie Lum and me tonight on Hawaii News Now at 5 and 5:30. See you then!

Aloha,

Shawn Ching
