KALIHI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Board of Water Supply (BWS) crews continue to work on a 16-inch water main break at 2255 North School Street.
The two makai, eastbound lanes of North School Street are closed between Kamehameha IV Road and Hauiki Street.
Motorists are asked, to use an alternate route during this afternoon's rush hour and throughout the night.
A police officer will be contra-flowing one of the ewa-bound lanes. Homes who are still without water service can find water at:
- a water wagon across the Weinberg Community Center at 2239 N. School St.;
- a water wagon by Jack in the Box at the intersection of N. School St. and Kamehameha IV Road; and a spigot on a fire hydrant at the corner of N. School and Ahonui St.
Customers are asked to bring their own containers to fill.
This water main was originally installed in 1927.
