Man charged in Hilo stabbing

HILO (HawaiiNewsNow) - A man has been charged with using a Hawaiian dagger to allegedly stab another man at a popular Hilo surf spot.

According to police, 29-year-old Michael Glendon is charged with first degree assault.

The alleged stabbing happened near the Honoli'i lookout on Monday.

Police say the 29-year-old victim suffered two stab wounds to his back,

According to officials, the two men have had previous run-ins.
