WAIANAE (HawaiiNewsNow) - Two males who happened to be in the area of a break-in in Waianae Monday night are being credited with apprehending the suspect.

Police say a 22-year-old man kicked a woman's front door open and entered her home at about 9:25 PM. The 51-year-old woman ran to get help and located two males, who then confronted the alleged intruder in the home.

When the suspect fled the scene, investigators say the males chased him down and detained him until officers arrived.

Police arrested William Keliinoi, Jr. of Apana Road on suspicion of first-degree burglary.
