Firefighters extinguish Hawaii Kai house fire

Hawaii Kai (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu firefighters quickly brought a Hawaii Kai house fire under control Monday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to 764 Hahaione street in Hawaii Kai around 3:10 p.m. The fire was under control by 3:30 p.m. and extinguished by 3:50 p.m.

Nobody was home at the time of the fire and no one was hurt. HFD says before they arrived on scene a neighbor went inside the home to make everyone was out.

Officials say the fire damaged about 30% of the home.

The American Red Cross is assisting the two people who live at the home.

Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
